This policy describes how Muzinity handles personal information on this website and in the Muzinity application. It is written to be read by studio owners, teachers, and families.
Information on this website
This marketing website is largely informational. If you type your email into the signup box on the landing page, it is held briefly in your own browser (session storage) so the pricing page can prefill it; it is not transmitted to us at that point. If you choose a plan and begin signup, we pass the email address you entered and the plan you chose to the Muzinity application. We use Cloudflare Web Analytics, a cookieless, aggregate analytics service, to understand overall site traffic; we do not build visitor profiles and we do not record where an individual signup “came from” (no campaign, referral, or acquisition-source tracking is attached to your account).
Information in the application
When a school uses Muzinity, we process information needed to run music instruction: accounts and roles (studio owner, admin, teacher, student, parent), lesson schedules, practice and progress records, journal entries, uploaded teaching materials, school messages and announcements, and practice reward points and achievements. Each school’s data is kept separate from other schools’ data using database-level tenant isolation.
Students under 13 are covered by our separate Children’s Privacy Notice, which describes the parental consent process required before a young student can use features that store their work.
How information is used
- To provide and operate the service (lessons, practice, progress, communication)
- To send transactional email (invitations, notifications a recipient has opted into)
- To keep the service secure and to meet legal obligations
We do not sell personal information, and we do not use student data for advertising.
Service providers
We use a small number of infrastructure providers to run Muzinity: Cloudflare (site hosting and aggregate analytics), SendGrid and Twilio (email and text-message delivery), and Clerk (authentication). We require these providers to use the data only to provide their service to us.
Retention and deletion
Schools control their own records. When information is deleted by a school, or when an account is closed, we remove associated personal information within a reasonable period, except where we retain records to meet legal obligations or to maintain a limited, access-controlled safety audit trail of content that was shown to students (see the Children’s Privacy Notice).
Your choices
You can ask the studio or school that manages your account to correct or delete your information, or contact Muzinity directly at privacy@muzinity.com.

We will update this policy as the product evolves and note the date of the latest revision above.
